
The Science and Art of Insects
Ages 5-7

In this series of 4 lessons, students engage in the scientific study and artistic representation of insects. Students will explore insect characteristics and survival strategies as they examine patterns and symmetry in nature. Integration across content areas includes artistic expression (drawing and sculpture), math (symmetry and geometry), and life sciences. Students will also explore insect imagery and symbolism in ancient and modern cultures. Through inquiry, collaboration, and creativity, students will make meaningful connections between scientific concepts, artistic practices, and the beauty of nature.

Drawing Bootcamp
Ages 8-11

This workshop focuses on the creative process through an exploration of drawing. Students discover how artists work while practicing essential drawing and shading techniques.
We will experiment with a variety of materials, learn about the elements and principles of art and study art history and contemporary artists using drawing as a medium. Your child will develop strong foundational skills while
expressing their individuality through meaningful, original artwork. Lessons are aligned with educational standards and designed to foster confidence and creativity.
